About Timothy Gordon
The adventure travel company is lead by Timothy Gordon, a veteran of the adventure and active travel industry. Before becoming a travel publisher, Gordon spent over 22 years in recreational/hospitality management with a focus on the adventure travel sector. Over the course of his 22 years in the business he worked as a river operations manager for eight seasons, a packer and outfitter for Yosemite National Park, a snowmobile guide, a cross-country ski guide and he worked for six years in the Guest Ranch industry as a wrangler, guest services manager and general ranch manager. He is also a level 5 certified ski instructor with the Professional Ski Instructors Association and is certified in scuba diving and advanced cliff-side and mountain rescue by the California Fire Marshal.
His diverse experiences working within the adventure travel industry allow him to bring a wealth of knowledge to his publishing groups that few others have to offer. He has walked the walk of many of his vacation provider clients and brings that insight to Gordon’s Guide. The entire Gordon’s Guide organization, from the president to customer care, has a personal interest in the activities promoted by Gordon’s Guide. The director of technology is a world traveler and an expert fly-fisherman who speaks three languages and holds a masters degree in computer science. Many members of the sales staff are skiing, rafting or hiking mountains on their days off. The operations manager is a marathon runner and donates her time to animal preservation. The director of design is an avid skier and outdoor and nature photographer and holds a masters degree in art and design. In addition, Gordon’s Guide employs team members from Malaysia, Ukraine, Germany, Mexico and Portugal.
