Overview
Located 100 kilometers, or 60 air miles, north of Campbell River, British Columbia, is a wild and remote area of the Pacific Northwest known as Knight Inlet. As the longest fjord on the B.C. coast, Knight Inlet offers visitors spectacular scenery set against a backdrop of dramatic mountain peaks plunging into the Pacific Ocean. Variegated hues of blues and greens seamlessly blend forest, ocean and sky. It can be a place of immense silence in the calm of the temperate rainforest and of immense power in the face of the many thundering glacier-fed waterfalls. This area is world famous for its salmon fishing and it serves as the setting for a fishing adventure you will never forget.
Situated 25 kilometers from the mouth of the inlet is Sailcone Wilderness Lodge. You are taken to the hot spots by your experienced guide to enjoy catching King, Silver, Sockeye and Chum salmon or bottom fishing for the "barndoors" - halibut. You also have the chance to visit the wild river and catch Steelhead, Silvers and Trout, using an ATV to move from pool to pool. With expert equipment, knowledgeable fishing guides, and complete fish care from vacuum sealing to smoking your fresh catch, Sailcone Wilderness Lodge offers everything you need for the perfect fishing vacation.
The lodge is comfortable and uncrowded with a maximum of ten guests only. This is a place where you can relax, wander the garden, enjoy the hot tub, or just admire the wilderness view. This atmosphere is especially appreciated after an eventful day of fishing. The food is excellent, featuring seafood dishes (Dungeness crab, local prawn and salmon) as well as meat dishes (prime rib, etc).
