Privately Stocked Trophy Lakes Dome Mountain Ranch boasts two privately stocked trophy lakes, one has graced the cover of "Outdoor Life Magazine", the other most recently was featured on the "Travel Channel" with outfitter JB Klyap. Each lake is carefully managed to offer limited pressure and maintain outstanding fishing opportunities whether it be the experienced smooth water fisher or the absolute first timer who has yet to feel the rush of a silver bullet on a five-weight rod.
Guests may fish these lakes on their own or enjoy a fully guided day via a drift boat or one of Dome Mountain Ranch's unique one-person pontoon boats, which many guests say is much like fishing from an easy chair. Open shore areas also offer plenty of bank fishing for fish cruising the edges of the over hanging willows in search of a treat.
Many fly fishers comment that hooking a Kameloop is unlike most lake fish being that they tend to jump several times and are highly aggressive while at the same time being non-selective enough to offer the top water fly fisher great action. Rest rooms and picinic areas are near each lake, making them the perfect location for a family or group of pals to spend a day on "Montana Time".
