Overview

This horseback vacation caters to those individuals who long to step up onto horse and ride away from it all. Extra care is taken to pair horse and rider for a good time together in the mountains.

Ranch 4 Saisons intentionally keeps groups small and personal, so that each guest feels the special attention. Often guests want to improve there riding skills and your knowledgeable guide will be there to help. From the first-time rider to the professional competitor, each will be made to feel comfortable.

To maintain the highest degree of quality and customer service, Ranch 4 Saisons will not shuffle clients between different guides throughout their trip like other lodges, but rather allow you to be with “your” guide throughout your time at the lodge. This allows the one person to be primarily responsible for the quality and satisfaction of your time and ensures that your every need will be addressed.

Ranch 4 Saisons has earned a reputation for outstanding quality unlimited horseback riding, overnight wilderness pack trips, guided fly fishing and hunting expeditions. There are a few things here you can get nowhere else, such as the freedom. You will get these things and more. Outfitters Steven, Michelle, Daniel, Dave and Annie and son Jeff Jordan insist on providing the best possible experiences for their guests.

Your day will begin with a hearty breakfast that allows you to have as much or as little as you desire. After breakfast, from the moment you meet your guide at the headquarters of this magnificent host ranch, the sights and sounds will slowly change. The lodge is surrounded by dozens of “hot spots”. Sounds of horses’ hooves, jingling of bits and spurs, the quiet creak of your saddle, horses blow in’ all will begin to heighten your senses.

The smell of the animals’ sweat or of a rain shower in the air or the snow, the rich smell of the campfire with steaks cooking or even the morning coffee, will come to have a place etched in your memory. Lunches at the ranch or are taken with you and can be enjoyed near a running stream or a quiet lake. You will return to the lodge around 4pm for an exquisite gourmet dinner and generous conversation. After dinner, you can elect to try a few more hours of activities, enjoy stimulating conversation with new friends, or relax near the creek with your favorite book.

The lodge is considered by many to be the most spectacular properties in the area due to the hard work and dedication of the owners in creating an oasis of scenic beauty in the heart of wilderness. The main lodge covers nearly 3,000 square feet and includes two lounging/sitting rooms for swapping stories with friends old and new, a formal dining room offers a beautiful outdoor porch patio that sits at the water’s edge. An outdoor sauna and spa, Nordic Baths are available for relaxing after a long day of riding while enjoying it under the stars.

The best scenery and horses, great food, the friendly guides and above all the best horseback riding.

This is western riding at its best, from spectacular river valleys, ridge tops, and along pristine alpine lakes, down to the bench land ride through forests, across alpine meadows, around clear blue lakes and beneath the rugged granite peeks of the mountains. You may also want to ride down to the bottom of the canyon to where the Red River runs wild. On their trips, knowledgeable wranglers and packers will guide you through the mountains and a cook will make sure you are well fed.

Whether you are looking for adventure or relaxation, the wild beauty of the wilderness area will make sure you leave with a smile.
