The Chief Joseph is truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. You will travel by horse through the Eagle Cap Wilderness from camp to camp, moving every other day. You travel along high mountain trails, over mountain passes, and camp beside alpine lakes and streams. Everything will be provided for you: all the food, necessary camp equipment, a cook, and a wrangler. You can sit back and relax while someone else does all the work. All you need to bring is your personal gear, camera, sleeping bag and pad. And, don't forget a fishing pole for you fishing enthusiasts!
Cornucopia recommends parties of four to six (minimum four people) and trips of five to seven days in length.

Accommodations
Guests sleep in dome tents. Cots, chairs and lanterns are furnished.
Dining
There will be a cook in camp to prepare your meals. All food is included in the trip price. Breakfast and dinner are eaten family style around the fire. Lunches are packed to take out on the trail and snacks are available throughout the day. Special dietary needs can be accommodated if pre-arranged.

You will often stop by lakes and streams to fish or swim. Trained guides can also teach you about animal tracks and help you spot wildlife. The Eagle Cap Mountains also offer a variety of mushrooms, such as morels and chanterelles, depending on the season and camp location. The gorgeous scenery makes for perfect painting and photographing opportunities.

Reservation Policy
A 50% deposit is required to hold a spot for your trip. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the trip.
