The Ultimate Western Two-Week Adventure is a camp for intermediate riders ages 14-17 years. This camp offers days of western riding for the camper that would like a two-week camp. Each camp includes western trail riding instruction and adventures in the Eagle Cap Wilderness area. Your journey will include rides through forests, meadows, lakes, and across breathtaking passes.
You will receive instruction in horsemanship, camp cooking, crafts, horse care, and “leave no trace” wilderness camping while on your trip. Each day you will care for you’re assigned horse, and help prepare meals under the guidance of your counselor and wrangler. The valuable skills you learn will instill confidence that will last a lifetime.
Wilderness Horse Camp will provide you the chance to make many new friends that you will never forget.

Camp Setup
Dome tent or wall tent camp, depending on camp location.
Accommodations
Campers sleep in dome tents on the trail. When at the base camp, campers will stay in wall tents or cabins.
Dining
The campers will help prepare the meals together with their counselor. All meals are eaten family style and lunches are brought along on the trail. Snacks are available throughout the day. Special dietary needs can be accommodated if pre-arranged.

Additional Activities
The camps are geared towards a complete wilderness experience. During the ride, you will stop by lakes and streams to fish or swim. Trained guides will also help teach about animal tracks and wildlife, “leave-no-trace” mentality, and how to take care of a horse. The campers will care for their assigned horse with the help of the wrangler and as they develop new skills, campers will be challenged with games and competitions.
If the weather should fail for a day, there will be plenty of games and crafts to keep busy.
