Day 1: Arrive Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires, Argentina

This is your international flight day. Dependent on what time your flight arrives, we will have some additional activities planned for you today. International flights arrive in all day, so please inform us of your flight details in advance.

Once we have your flight details, we will know which activities you will be having today. Tonight we will all join as a group and have a welcome dinner together.

Day 2: Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires, Argentina

This morning we enjoy breakfast in the hotel before we depart with our knowledgeable local guide. Buenos Aires is a walking city. To experience the full fabric - the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Buenos Aires neighbourhoods, a person must walk them. Every walking tour explores a unique and special district of Buenos Aires and these tours combine the historical development of the area with a detailed discussion of its inhabitants and cultural legacy.

Today we will experience Buenos Aires in the way locals experience it as we learn about the history, culture, architecture and charm of the city. The most interesting and important of Buenos Aires neighbourhoods are Recoleta, Palermo, San Telmo, Puerto Madero, Monserrat and Plaza de Mayo and we will spend approximately 6 hours today leisurely enjoying these different areas. We enjoy lunch along the way and our transport is available to take us between the different neighborhoods.

We have the evening free and you can enjoy dinner on your own or with your tour leader and other group members. Ask your tour leader for suggestions on excellent restaurants in the area.

Day 3: Buenos Aires To Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina

We have an early morning today as we depart for the airport for our 2-hour flight to the Mendoza area. We will not be returning to Buenos Aires until the end of our tour. Mendoza, in Argentina’s Cuyo region, is the capital of Mendoza Province and the heart of Argentina's wine country, famed for Malbecs and other bold reds. Its many bodegas (wineries) are popular for tastings and tours. This is where we will be spending the next three days.

Our three-day tour is a hands-on exploration of the world of wine and Mendoza's three main wine regions. During our stay we will visit the very best wineries and vineyards in Mendoza's three spectacular wine regions; Lujàn de Cuyo, the Uco Valley and Maipu. As well as enjoying deluxe tastings in all the bodegas, we will also take part in different activities that focus on specific aspects of the world of wine. These activities include tasting unfinished wine from the tank, a hands-on food and wine pairing class, making your own blend and even picking or pruning vines.

In this relaxed no-classroom wine experience you will learn the most important aspects of grape-growing, wine making and leave with the know-how to taste and appreciate wine confidently. Coupled with gourmet lunches, exclusive tastings (from the barrel, tank and bottle) and our expert guides, this is hands-down the most enjoyable learning experience you will ever have!

Wine making in a nutshell and tasting Wine: We will visit a boutique winery and walk through their wine making facilities to see the wine making process from grape to bottle, finishing with a private sit-down tasting of their best wines. The sommelier will guide you through the tasting, answering your questions and discussing aromas, the main descriptors in each varietal and the techniques of tasting.

In our second visit, the main focus will be to taste and see the evolution of unfinished wines by tasting unfinished wine from the tank and/or barrel as we see the winemaking facilities. We will finish by tasting the finished products! Lunch will be in a boutique winery in Agrelo, Mendoza’s premier Malbec growing region where we will savor a relaxed five-course gourmet food and wine pairing menu.

After lunch, we will go behind the scenes of a high-end vineyard and discover the secrets of managing a top-quality vineyard essential to producing a great wine.

We return to Mendoza around 6 pm and have the evening free to enjoy the hotel and area.

Day 4: Uco Valley And High Altitude Grape Growing
Mendoza, Argentina

The Uco Valley is one of the newest wine regions in Mendoza and considered one of the best in Argentina. Today we will explore why the extreme conditions created by high altitude grape-growing result in truly magnificent wine.

We can enjoy breakfast in the hotel before departing the city at 8:30 am to head to the highest sub-region of the Uco Valley – Tupungato. Today we will visit three wineries; a boutique winery and a larger foreign enterprise with lunch at the third stop.

As we sip and swirl our way through premium wines and enjoy some spectacular close-up views of the Andes, we will be able to compare and contrast the terrain in the Uco Valley to that of Lujàn de Cuyo and see how the different climate of the Uco drastically affects the final wine.

For lunch we will relax and enjoy a traditional Argentine asado (BBQ) with all the trimmings. This will be accompanied by high-end Uco wine and the majestic Andes as our view.

We return to Mendoza around 6:30 pm and have the evening free.

Day 5: Maipu And Lujan De Cuyo
Mendoza, Argentina

We will be departing the city at about 8:45 am, so an early breakfast may be in order today.

We will start the day with a blending exercise where you will be a winemaker for the morning. This is where you can put everything you have learned to the test and try your hand at making your own blend!

We also enjoy a Food and Wine Pairing Workshop today. Arriving mid-morning we will first have some small nibbles before we are ready to start our interactive food and wine pairings class. Along with our sommelier you will try different wine and food combinations to see how flavors and wine react – we will discover the principles of a good pairing and create some awful wine pairing disasters – so they never happen again!

After all our hard work we will finish with a three-course food and wine pairing lunch with local Argentine fare.

What better way to finish our three-day Mendoza experience than with a visit to a sparkling wine house? We will walk through the 'champañera' to see how sparkling wine is made, learn the difference between methode champenoise and methode charmat and finish with a tasting of different sparkling wines!

We return to the city around 5 pm and have our last night here.

Day 6: Relax And Fly
Mendoza, Argentina

We have the morning to relax and enjoy the city and the area. Sleep in if you want; enjoy a walk.

This afternoon, we depart for the airport for the flight to Iguazu Falls. We will arrive in mid-evening and have the evening free to enjoy the hotel and services or have a late dinner.

Day 7: Iguazu Falls
Iguazu Falls, Brazil

This morning we enjoy breakfast in the hotel before we head off to visit the Brazilian side of the falls with our English-speaking guide, and enjoy spectacular views of Devil's Throat, a must-see Iguassu Falls feature on the Brazilian side of the falls. Looming at an altitude of 262 feet (80 meters), Devil's Throat is the largest waterfall in the area. Explore the scenic area by foot and soak in the picturesque tropical atmosphere.

Please note that to visit the Brazilian side of the Falls, most tourists need a visa. Please apply for your visa BEFORE departing your home country. Please refer to the visa information provided to you in your pre-departure information.

We have the evening free to enjoy the hotel and restaurant.

Day 8: Iguazu Falls
Iguazu Falls, Iguazu, Argentina

On our second day, we spend the day visiting the Argentinian side of Iguassu Falls. We follow a trail approximately 1 mile (1.5 km) to get a close-up look at some of the smaller waterfalls from a different perspective. Then, we head up to the top of the majestic falls, where you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the area stretching all the way to San Martin Island and parts of the Brazilian falls.

We enjoy another evening at the hotel and in the area. Take an evening walk to enjoy the climate and area, or join your tour leader for dinner.

Day 9: Iguazu Falls To Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires, Argentina

On our last day in the area, we will enjoy some free time to explore before being transported back to the airport to head back to Buenos Aires. We depart mid-afternoon, arriving into Buenos Aires at about 6 pm. Tonight we are going to enjoy our very last night in Argentina with a late-night dinner and fantastic Tango Show. Argentina is the tango capital of the world. Created in Buenos Aires in the 1800s by poor immigrants, Argentine tango is one of the sultriest, most seductive and mesmerizing dances around. We cannot miss our chance to witness the passion and strength displayed in a live tango performance, which truly encapsulates the spirit of Argentina.

We enjoy dinner and a professional tango show at one of the dinner theatres. We enjoy the Tango Show from the VIP sector, with a VIP menu a la carte: cold or warm appetizer; main course; and dessert. Beverages: Rutini Cabernet Malbec, Rutini Sauvignon Blanc, glass of sparkling wine for a toast, mineral water, beer, sodas and coffee.
