AVA offers guided trips on five central Colorado rivers from seven locations. They raft Class II floats to wild Class V and everything in between on the Arkansas River, Colorado River, Eagle River, Blue River and Clear Creek (only 30 minutes from Denver!). They’re sure to have a trip that’s perfect for you and convenient to your Colorado location or vacation. Choose from trips beginning in Idaho Springs, Buena Vista, Breckenridge, Kremmling, Canon City or Glenwood Springs.

Lodging: Cabins or Camping in the Arkansas Valley. Relax in the peace and serenity of the Arkansas Valley in one of Arkansas Valley Adventure's deluxe log cabins or campsites. In addition to lodging, you can also find plenty of exciting outdoor activities including horseshoes, campfires, a large deck and scenic mountain hiking right from the four-acre Arkansas Valley Adventure property. It is the goal at AVA to make your whitewater and/or lodging experience a memorable one. Please contact Arkansas Valley Adventures prior to your arrival to find out availability.
Cabins: AVA’s five genuine log cabins set along a creek each sleep four to five guests. All are appointed with log furniture, quality mattresses and hardwood floors. Three cabins have kitchenettes, and charcoal grills and picnic tables are provided for barbecues. Cost: $85/double occupancy; $5 each additional person.
Camping: Ten walk-in campsites are nestled on a hillside with flat sand foundations for your tent. Picnic tables, designated fire pits, hot showers and flush toilet facilities are also provided. Cost is $25 per site (5 people max per site).
Groups & Team Building Trips. AVA always offers great GROUP DISCOUNTS. In addition, they are a helpful connection for you, answering all your vacation questions and helping to plan and make reservations for a variety of activities available in the area. Whether it’s a barbecue at Arkansas Valley Adventures’ lodge, directions to a favorite hot spring or a horseback riding excursion into the national forest, Arkansas Valley Adventures will make it happen for you, the way you dream it. Arkansas Valley Adventures can set up transportation, meals and accommodations, plus many other events. Yes, many summer vacationers visit the Arkansas Valley primarily for the rafting, but there are endless activities that Arkansas Valley Adventures can arrange for you (many are conveniently offered on Arkansas Valley Adventures’ property), including horseback riding, rock climbing, fly fishing, hot springs, hiking, and group barbeques and other meals.
Rock Climbing. Arkansas Valley Adventures offers half-day rock climbing lessons and guided climbing trips for the beginner or intermediate climber. Whether you want to learn more about the sport so you can do it on your own or you just want to try it for the first time and experience the thrill of climbing, these programs fit the bill. Combine one of Arkansas Valley Adventures’ half-day climbing trips with one of their morning or afternoon rafting trips for a day full of adventure! Climbing takes places only four miles north of the Arkansas Valley Adventures Outpost on granite cliffs overlooking the Arkansas River. A Colorado experience not to be missed.

Arkansas Valley Adventures offers horseback riding trips in two locations. Their trips in the Arkansas Valley - a stunning river valley bordered by the highest peaks in Colorado - take you on the Colorado Trail or through the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness Area and the National Forest. The trips from Summit County take you through the Eagles Nest and Ptarmigan Wilderness areas in and around the Gore Range, a craggy line of cloud-piercing peaks.
