For more than 35 years, the Nantahala Outdoor Center has led the rafting industry regionally and nationally, being selected the "#1 Vacation with a Splash" by Good Morning America and as one of the "Best Outfitters on Earth" by National Geographic Adventure.
Headquartered in western North Carolina with outposts spread across the Southeast, NOC is a complete outdoor adventure provider offering whitewater rafting on nine of the East's best-loved rivers, lake kayaking, whitewater paddling instruction, custom group adventure programs, swiftwater rescue and wilderness medicine courses, international adventure travel and guided mountain bike rides.
The Nantahala River Resort is situated at the intersection of the Appalachian Trail, the Nantahala River and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. Reservation Policy
Walk-ins are welcome, but to guarantee space on the trip of your choice, we recommend reservations, especially on holidays or weekends.
Cancellation Policy
Cancel ten or more days before your trip and receive a full refund. For guided trips cancelled 2-9 days before, receive a 50% refund or a 100% voucher. Cancel the day of the trip and receive a 50% voucher. For all trips, no-shows are non-refundable.
