Overview
The Sheri Griffith Expeditions Difference Sheri Griffith Expeditions is a bunch of people who have a passion for Utah, its national parks, wilderness and red rock country. They love what the raw, wild beauty of these lands and rivers can do for the human spirit. They love how paddling and hiking and camping and laughing on the river can soothe and excite an urban soul. All of them are there because they love being a part of the process.
They are the leaders in the industry because they never stop improving, innovating, adapting, growing, and listening to their guests and to their team.
Their Company is a Reflection of Their Team They want to make it work for you. They know that no two people are alike, that what works for one, doesn't work for another. Their services are carefully designed to provide an outstanding adventure. To do this they want you to tell them when you need something special. If you don't have a car and need a pick-up the morning of the trip, they'll arrange it; if you're on a special diet, they'll make sure you get it; if you need something that they haven't though of, let them know.
They want to make a difference in your life. Their office staff is not telephone order-takers; they are people who want to contribute as much as possible to your experience with Sheri Griffith Expeditions. Sure, they'll send you a brochure or give you directions to the office, or reserve a tent and sleeping kit for you; that's the easy part. What they really like to do is talk to you, listen to what you have to say and be a key part in choosing and designing your outdoor vacation. They are committed to making a difference in your life.
They want you to jump for joy! Their guides are well skilled in maneuvering boats down rivers, leading hikes to ancient ruins, cooking fabulous outdoor meals, and all that other physical logistical stuff. The guides at Sheri Griffith Expeditions have integrity, they are without exception, honorable people committed to creating the ambiance you need to feel comfortable enough to jump for joy. They're the perfect kind of people to invite on your vacation. They Get it For You…
Their guides have more training, licenses and degrees than any other group of guides, as well as being hired for their integrity and professionalism. They are all licensed River Guides certified in Emergency Medical Response and CPR. Collectively, they have the experience you want when choosing a vacation adventure.
…then they take you there.
Scenery... All the expeditions are in places and canyons of stunning beauty and diversity. They run only nationally recognized and protected rivers through National Parks, National Landmarks and on Wild and Scenic Rivers. Remnants and reminders of ancient Native American cultures abound, as well as a variety of western historic points; they are geographically remarkable and wildlife is everywhere.
Camps are most often on big sandy beaches with plenty of room to create your own private little "spot" for intimate conversation, reading, picking out star constellations, or maybe a little shut-eye. They'll help you learn to set up a tent, what to look for when choosing your "spot," when to keep your rain gear handy and how to pack your dry bags (a.k.a. river suitcases) for maximum convenience and efficiency. They are environmentally friendly, using "no impact" camping methods. Portable kitchens are exclusively designed to provide good sanitary and food handling practices - and Great Food!! Guides prepare all the meals as you relax at river's edge or hike up the canyon.
