Overview
It's incomprehensible! A canyon so grand, so majestic, it spans half the state. There’s 300 miles of breathtaking beauty. The mighty Colorado River twists through its carved chasm with water a mile deep and 12 miles wide in some places.
Now imagine you and your companions setting forth on the most exciting vacation adventure of your life. Experience the whitewater rafting trip with Wilderness River Adventures and let yourself go on this unforgettable adventure. Choose the length of your trip - from a few days to almost two weeks. The season runs from April to early October. Motorized trips are available, as well as oar trips in smaller rafts.
In choosing Wilderness River Adventures, you may be assured of an absolutely unsurpassed river expedition. Formerly Sanderson and Fort Lee, Wilderness River Adventures offers 48 combined years of experience as Grand Canyon whitewater outfitters. Their goal is not simply to provide you with a great vacation - they want you to have the "experience of a lifetime".
Your trip leaders and guides at Wilderness River Adventures are among the most experienced in the Grand Canyon. The majority of these young men and women have from 70 to 200 trips through the Grand Canyon. Not only can these exceptional young men and women take you safely through the most challenging rapids, they lead you through fascinating geology, history and canyon folklore, set up camp, prepare awesome meals and snacks, create fun, amuse and you with tall tales, jokes and anecdotes.
A word of caution, however ... once you've taken an expedition with Wilderness River Adventures, you will become a confirmed "Wilderness River Rat". In fact, once you return to "regular living", you will become known as a colossal bore. You see, the only topic of conversation you will ever voice again will be "whitewatering"!
